What do you mean what took me so long to say goodbye?! First of all, I had to wake up after collapsing and being out of it Since June 29th! This league was a lot of work. Also, I was in denial, I can't believe another season has come to an end, it went by fast!

So now, as I start to come around, I can take care of all the odds and ends that still need managing, like for example, saying THANK YOU! A huge yashar koach goes out to all the sponsors, coaches, and players for making this year extremely successful for you, me, and the Clanton Park Shul. The league is not just a fun raiser, it is also a FUNdraiser for the Clanton Park shul and with your help we raised over $5,000 in profit for the Clanton Park Synagogue. Great job!

Also, I've put up PICTURES of each team so, for the first time in the league's history, not just sponsors, but now EVERYONE can see the pictures that we take annually of each team. There is a special password for them so e-mail me and if I find you fitting, I will give it to you, hope I remember it!

Also, I have hats and shirts that many have not picked up yet. They won't be available for long so reach out to me ASAP and we'll arrange a pickup.

And finally (until I think of something else) THANK YOU so much once again! Hope to see you back next year!

Everyone in the SK-1 division (from ANY team) can join the Kevin Beigel Law coach Shlomie Younger who will be manning today's festivities on Field A.
Everyone can go on that one Field and play because I assume no more than 20 children will arrive to play.
If more show up, great! Someone will get Field B's bag and play there!

Thank you to first time coaches Mr Juni and Mr Rechtshaffen who will be on FIELD 2 for ALL PLAYERS in the 2-3-4 division.
Everyone can go on that one Field and play because I assume no more than 20 children will arrive to play.

We missed a game due to rain a few weeks back on June 8. My goal is to make sure that if you pay for 8 games, you have the opportunity to play for 8 games. Therefore we will have a makeup game on June 29. Same time, girls 3:30, boys 5:00PM, same places. For field information and matchup go to the 2-3-4 and sk-1 sections.

The only people who do not have to pay for the banquet are registered players, registered coaches, Ralph Alter, and sponsors.

UPDATED: IS THERE A MONDAY GAME? At ALL?? ....... NOPE

No coach OR parent e-mailed me saying they would be be able to coach a game today.
Therefore Monday's makeup is cancelled.
However, silver lining time....

1) Since this Sunday looks to be really really nice and the last week of June 22 looks to be possibly really nice too, I have decided to add a permit and make ONE MORE GAME... for Sunday June 29! I realize many of you may be at the cottage or at camp, however I am not FORCING anyone to come, I am merely making it AVAILABLE for my wonderfully paying customers, many of whom have a hard time coming out an playing ball during the weeknights.

Please e-mail me if you will be around Sunday June 29th as this idea is still in idea mode.

2) This Sunday, June 15th I will be giving out TROPHIES woohoo! Make usre you are there this Sunday to receive your trophy!

So far, not ONE coach has e-mailed me saying he will be able to coach a game today. So far, not ONe parent has e-mailed me sayin that if necessary he will help out with coaching duties for the day to ensure kids can play. Therefore, I can not yet say if there will be any game right now. I will extend the e-mailing me deadline to 2:00PM. If less than two coaches get back to me I will cancel Monday's makeup and will reschedule it for Tuesday. Or cancel it entirely. Come on parents and coaches, we need you!!

BASEBALL POSTPONED DUE TO RAIN
MAKEUP GAME MONDAY FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

THERE WILL ONLY BE A MAKEUP GAME MONDAY at 5:00PM at Dublin Heights as SOON as coaches or parents email me telling me they will be available.
As soon as a coach/parent e-mails me saying they will be there, then that DIVISION will have a game (everyone together in their respective sk-1, 234, 5-6, girls division)

If you wish to know if there will be a game, I will BEGIN posting whose division will have a makeup game NO LATER (really) than 10AM Monday.

After 10am as more coaches e-mail me I will post if there will be a game for eahc division.

For the 35 boys that came out to play on Monday I hope you guys had a great time (pictures below)! Next time there is chas visholom a rain out, this is the procedure: A makeup game will be rescheduled right away (either at Clanton Park or at Dublin), parents and coaches will be e-mailed that night, and parents and coaches must e-mail me back to confirm who is coming and plans will be arranged and posted on the web site as news comes in (When coaches and parents e-mail me to say, "okay, great, I'll be there," I know we'll have at least one game for their division).

I e-mailed all of you last night and the response was varied. Many of you would love baseball today, some think the idea of long weekend baseball is terrible and should be the 366th Lo Sa'aseh (The leap Lo Sa'aseh, I guess), and some simply just can't make it.

My goal as commissioner is to ensure that there are 8 games of baseball this spring to those that pay for it. I do not want to deprive someone who wants to play, who has signed up to play, from playing. Those that choose not to come, it's up to them. I wish we could have played Sunday but the rain rendered that possibility moot. So, for those that wanna play, I salute you!

So, now, I am waiting for coaches to respond to me to tell me if they can come. So far, many coaches have told me they cannot make it, and one coach told me he is coming. But I need to know about more coaches (or if parents want to volunteer for today, let me know). When I see there at least 4 more coaches who can say they'll be there, I can declare today a baseball day! Games will be makeshift, but it should be lots of fun.

UPDATE: 2-3-4 Game is on at Field 1. Coach Moshe Kryieger is running the show there.
Coach for the Day Joseph Hiller will be there as well, to make a new game if more than 20 boys show up, come one come all!

UPDATE FOR SK-1: GAME ON! Coach Oded Levi and another amazing parent are there to help along things with the sk-1 games, which are sure to be phenominal!

Since today is makeshift, shirts nad hats will be given out next Sunday, IYH. Make sure you come and get your gear!

Today's game is cancelled. I searched "Toronto Weather" in Google to seee what would be a good day for a make up game. This was the result:

Oh well. Regardless, today is called off. I WILL SEND OUT A MASS E-mail and will update this web site if I can find a good make up day. Girls makeup game is Wednesday at Dublin Heights, unless of course, that pretty picture above holds true.

Onthe other hand, though, shirts and hats are ready to be given out, so next Sunday we all have something amazing to look forward to, yay!

And trophies have been ordered and they are INCREDIBLE!

Coaches please tell your players and parents that due to unforseen circumstance, Sunday's game has been moved to Clanton Park Park. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Let's get ready for some baseball! Teams are now "finalized," which lasts until more people sign up Sunday morning and throughout the day.

So, it looks like today will be a sunny one, but a cold one. Games do not get cancelled/moved on account of cold weather, just rainy weather, so dress warmly and have a great time!

TEAMS ARE MADE!
E-mails have been sent out to all coaches at approx. 10:30PM tonight. Hopefully, they will call their roster Friday May 2nd to welcome everyone to the team.

You can check out the web site by clicking the links above to find out what team your son/daughter is on, who is on their team with them, and who their coaches are. It's all there!

As far as Sunday goes, will rain disrupt our first game? If it does you will know at 4:45PM-4:55PM if an announcement is needed. If it's brightly sunny out all day, I probably won't announce anything, you could figure it out yourselves.

BOYS PLAY BALL Every Sunday from May 4th until June 22nd between the hours of 5:00-6:30 p.m.

GIRLS PLAY BALL Every Sunday from May 4th until June 22nd between the hours of 3:30-5:00 p.m.

EACH PLAYER GETS:
- A baseball hat
- A t-shirt
- A trophy
- A great time!

And as always, after the last game all players and coaches
go to a super fun and delicious barbeque banquet filled with music and raffle prizes!
